Dear Sir Frederick,

Thank you for your letter of the 16th. instant re the site adjacent to the Eyre Diocesan Refuge.

Am I to understand that if the lot ceases to

be occupied by a chapel or mission building it would lapse to the Crown ? In that case I submit that the Government of the time should refund to my successor in office the 8960 paid as premium. On that understanding I am willing to pay the premium named and an annual crown rent of 834 if the Secretary of State approves of the site being leased to me and my successor of some other approved trust. The Bishop of Victoria ex officio is not a corporation sole.
